EXPERT URGES FG TO AMEND CYBERCRIME ACT

An ICT expert, Mr. Gimba Mohammed, has called on the Federal Government to amend the Cybercrime Act in order to tackle the country’s cybercrime and security challenges. Mohammed, the Head of Regional Business for MainOne, a Nigerian firm, made the call on Sunday in Abuja in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). To effectively tackle the country’s cybercrime and cyber security challenges, he said there was the need to amend the Act in response to the current challenges.
